Each year they hold a Fun Run along the beautiful Wynnum foreshore from George Clayton Park (adjacent to the school) to the Wynnum Creek and back approx 4km. This will be the 44th consecutive year the event has been conducted. Special Schools from all over South East Queensland, from the Sunshine Coast to Ipswich and the Gold Coast are invited to come along for this fun event.


To most people the words FUN and RUN contradict each other, but with this event there is no contradiction, it is a FUN RUN. There will be kids that will run the entire distance and then there are those that will take over an hour to complete the course in walking frames and wheelchairs; this is a truly heartwarming event.



There is a sausage sizzle and after the trophy presentations are completed they have an open-air disco for the children.
They normally have in excess of 1200 children, teachers and carers enjoy this wonderful event. Last year they had 800 children with special needs participate.
