Renae Whelan is the mother of a Hear and Say child, Rome Walker, who is 2 years old and recently received the gift of sound when his cochlear implant was switched on. Renae, an Instagram influencer (@naywhelan) with 40,000 followers, is hosting a family fun day at Hear and Say as part of the 2019 Loud Shirt Day campaign and she is seeking the support of her audience to source activities for the day. They are hoping to attract 300 attendees from the families of children with hearing loss who access the services.

Following the popularity of our attendance at last year's Microtia and Atresia conference fun day they would like to invite us to join them for this new and exciting event inspired by Renae and Rome.

All funds raised on the day will go towards Renae's Loud Shirt Day target of $10,000.

Many of the children in attendance will have a hearing loss but are able to access sound thanks to cochlear implants and hearing aids.
