RebelrachWhat to Include When Submitting Your Costume

Hi All
We have some great costumes in Tatooine Base and more coming through, which is great.

With the revamp of the main Rebel Legion Forums, a few of the signature Rebel costumes have been updated with their requirements and lists of 'formal' requirements for approval.

To make it easier for your costume application to go through, and also to make it clear for the costume judges, its a good idea to list all of those 'formal' items your costume contains. (Not all costumes have these formal requirements such as clones for example),

You can list the formal items your costume contains under the "Character/Costume Description" free text section of your application.

For example. To have your generic Jedi costume approved you must have 3 formal features included. This may be a robe, inner tunic, food pellets and hood with your robe. By listing out which items your costume contains it means the judges can look directly at these items and their costume review becomes a lot easier.

Recently we had a case of a Rebel Fleet Troopers costume being asked for an additional formal component to meet approval standards. As I have owned an RFT myself I could assist the member's application by pointing out to the costume judge that one of several items needed for approval was indeed there, just really hard to see (a flat pocket on the back of the vest, almost impossible to see in a photo unless you know to look for it). No fault of anyone's at all, but in this case if all of the items included in the costume required for approval are listed, the judges know that the applicant has looked at all the costume criteria and met the minimum components to get approval.

This may sound a little complex, but it will mean a straightforward costume application for you and the judges, and if any clarification is needed concerning parts of your costume its a much easier base for communication between you and the costume reviewers.

All the requirements for all the Rebel Costumes are listed here on the main Rebel Legion Forum:

Start yourself a Photobucket account and upload your hi resolution and good quality costume photos here. Then link the pics to your application.

During your application your costume will be allocated to a costume judge that specialises in your costume (Armour, Jedi, pilots etc) and you will be emailed with updates on where the progress of your application is at. Should you wish to email the costume judge you can, they are all very approachable and are there to give you feedback if any mods are needed, or clarify any parts you may have missed.

We have a great working relationship with many of the judges especially the ones who've had a lot of our costumes pass their computers lately - Jedi/Clones/Denizons and pilots - and they are only too happy to assist with your costume application. Because costumes get assigned to different judges (in different countries) viewing times can vary between judges. Here is a list of which judges cover which costume category:

So good luck with your future applications and feel free to ask any questions here about the process, and we'll endeavour to help.

Similarly, we have some great costumers here in the Legion, so if you have a costume work in progress, post up a build thread here for feedback from your fellow Tatooine Base members, or even one on the Rebel Legion main boards if you would like Legion wide feedback.

Good luck, and May The Force Be With You.....Always...
