Detail:
Once all members had arrived at the venue, we were given a quick briefing on the schedule for the evening. We'd been allocated a changing area for the event, so once everyone understood the run down, it was off to get into costume. And what a handsome group we made! It was so fantastic to have a large group of Jedi out in force.
Half an hour before the film began, we split into pairs and manned different areas around the venue. Some Rebels chatted with guests and took photos in the foyer, whilst others stood outside the venue, greeting guests and encouraging passers by to check out the event.
Before long, it was time for the film to start. The Rebels lead the procession of guests into the theatre and helped usher them to their seats. The film itself was well received by the crowd and praised for its impressive post-production. We were also treated to a Q&A session with the creator at the end of the screening.
All-in-all, a great night out for the Rebels!
Malfunctions:
We had some lightsaber batteries die, but had plenty on hand to recharge
Mission Status:
A top success. It was great to have such a strong Rebel presence out in force. Thanks to everyone who was able to attend, especially on a weeknight!
