C&K Calamvale Star Wars Day

Detail:
The C&K kindergarten at Calamvale had a Star Wars dress-up day to celebrate May the 4th Day. POC arrived early to get the change area organised and communicate with the contact. Troopers had a little trouble finding the location which POC assisted over the phone and gave them directions on where to go. Kitting up was reasonably simple and was completed with efficient timing. When the children came into the room (3 classes of 20 kids) we spoke to them about what the 501st and Rebel Legions do, answered a few questions that the children had and then posed for a photo with each of the classes. There were two children dressed up in costume, a Darth Vader and a Jakku Rey. Then as each class left to return to their classrooms the children gave high fives/fist pumps to the troopers and received a Star Wars sticker. The troopers then de-kitted, packed up and left the premises. We went to a small shopping complex that was nearby to have lunch for a mini mixer. Overall, a successful mission for the Tatooine Base. Thank you to MyKill and Blue for attending the troop!
