I bought the first few pieces for this build this morning. It is so exciting as ever since I was a little youngling I have want to fly an X-Wing.

There has been a little bit of a change. I am now buying the whole kit (minus the helmet) from an etsy store called Cospl88. I have heard a lot of great things about them from other Rebel Pilots and it is apparently organised or something by the Detachment CO of the Rebel Pilots. It will also save time and money which means I will get this costume done and approved faster than if I had gone with the other sources I was going with.

Get that weathering on. A nice black acrylic wash and throw it on ground a few times..... unless it's resin. Then be careful.

Hehe it's got quite a bit of weathering now. I am not sure what it's made out of. I am not planning on doing a lot more weathering cause I want it to have a well looked after look but am currently trying to figure out what to put above the onion slice decal. Was going to be a blast mark but the one Rob did didn't quite look right so he is going to try it again. But here are some more pics of it.
