That's what the robe is for, isn't it? To hide the wrinkles? Not that I'm speaking from experience or anything, eh Cyclops? Tongue

Haha! Well the robe was the most wrinkly item. I ironed it the other day to get some practice and it hardly did anything to the wrinkles. Plus it was a bit of a pain to iron.

Update on my WIP Generic Jedi Costume!!

Firstly, I would like to thank MammaSith for her fantastic and amazing help with getting my costume ready for approval. Thank you, Cyclops for taking the photos for the application.

I have submitted my costume application and cannot wait to join everyone at Nova for a crazy and fun day at the end of the month. I have uploaded my pictures to Imgur and have included them in the post so that everyone can take a look.

Much better. Looks great. Looking forward to hearing of your approval coming through. Smile

I agree Nighthawk. These tabards look even closer to Zett Jukasa's ones which I based them off. Best thing of all is they are also attached to the Obi which means I can move about all I want and I won't have to adjust everything. If I bend over I will have to slightly move the belt but thats it. Which means that while on troops I can kneel down to the eye level of kids.

Hi Ashlyn_Dubreas,

Your tabards will be too short at the front. Your tabards should sit around 2 to 3 inches below your tunic. You don't necessarily need to have your tabards be the same length at the back.

You can compensate by bringing the tabards at an end to form a "V" shape at the back and sew them onto the obi.

You can make your tabards longer than specified as well. They can also come down to above the knee.

They are sewn to the Obi which is why they don't move around anymore. MammaSith made these herself and so I will trust her judgement. There are Jedi from that era who don't have tabards longer than the tunic, Adi Gallia is a good example. These are pleather tabards which means they never stop at the belt on the back.

Exciting times! Good luck with the approval, hopefully we'll be adding you to the Jedi ranks shortly Smile

Fantastic news everyone! I have been approved. Thank you to everyone who helped me out with advice as well as fixing up my costume so that it was ready for approval. Cannot wait to join you all on my first troop at Gold Coast Supanova.

This costume recently had some refurbishing done by Valledor. I finally replaced the dodgy undertunic and pants with new pants that fit me a lot better and a new undertunic. The new colour which was always the intended colour of the pants and undertunic meant I also needed a new obi so there was a bit of modifying to the amazing work that Mamasith did to them. The boots will also be getting replaced and will be shared with my new Jedi Master robes.
