Go Blue for Autism. - Tobalation - 20-05-2015

Go Blue for Autism.

Date: Saturday 16/05/2015

Venue: Roma Street Parklands
Time: 3pm

Mission: To help support Autism Queensland.

This was a joint event with the 501st.

Trooper Attendance:
Stormraven
Jeadus Teal
Tobalation
Mykill (wrangling)

We were joined by some awesome 501st troopers.

Report: A great event to help raise awareness for Autism Queensland. We got their about 3pm and mixed with the crowds at the parklands.
After a bit of a scare with the rain we got back to talking to the crowds and taking lots of photos with people of all ages.
Their was a lot of interest in our costumes!

At around 5pm we had the great honour of leading the walk through the parklands. Lightsabers guided the way.

Jeadus and Stormraven both did excellent work, talking photos for the children and explaining the Rebel Legion to the adults.
This was Mykill's first outing with the Rebel Legion, he was a natural with the photos.

Costume Malfunctions: Some lightsaber battery changes.

Public Incidents: A few large spiders were spotted during the walk. Nothing the jedi couldn't handle.

Thank you to all the Autism Queensland staff! It was a pleasure to help out, and we look forward to assisting you next year.

Sooo much fun, and I only dismembered one child (he seemed to enjoy feigning disembowelment).

Orb weavers are only a problem if you walk into them in the dark, wait a minute...
